Bicyclist hit by car on Groesbeck Street

A man in his 40s was injured this morning when he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle in the 15000 block of Groesbeck Street, according to Grand Haven Township Fire Chief Tom Gerencer.

Firefighters responded to the scene at 7:35 a.m.

Gerencer said the man was apparently struck from behind, but was not seriously injured. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

No further information was available.
