His 19-year-old roommate is jailed on a murder charge.

Ovid Police Chief Phil Cooley said a friend called 911 on Dec. 21 saying David Grant appeared to have taken a drug overdose. Authorities now say Grant was shot in the back by his roommate.

The roommate, Aaron Feliu, was arraigned Tuesday in Clinton County District Court on a second-degree murder charge.

The Lansing State Journal reported Grant and Feliu graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School and lived together for a few months.
