Superintendent Dave Peden notified parents about the police investigation in a letter distributed Friday. The letter said the man worked as a choir accompanist and was placed on administrative leave.

The Mona Shores school district is also investigating, Peden said.

Peden said it’s not clear whether the criminal investigation involved students from the district.

Parents with concerns were urged to contact police or school officials.
