Woman dies following Battle Creek house fire

Authorities said a woman is dead following a house fire in Battle Creek.

TV stations WOOD-TV and WWMT-TV reported the fire happened early today and two other people were inside the home at the time.

Authorities said one of the two other people was taken to a hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire was under investigation but foul play wasn’t suspected.
