Two area teens arrested for party store burglary

Two Tri-Cities-area teens were among three people arrested Thursday for the burglary of a Norton Shores business earlier this week.

Police said they apprehended a 19-year-old Spring Lake Township man, an 18-year-old Grand Haven Township man and a 17-year-old Egelston Township boy for the burglary of Ozzie’s Party Store, 1354 E. Broadway Ave., on Tuesday. All three were lodged in the Muskegon County Jail.

The suspects’ names are being withheld pending their arraignment. Specific charges will be released after arraignment, Norton Shores Police Chief Dan Shaw said.

A fourth suspect, a 16-year-old Norton Shores woman, has been identified in the case but has not yet been arrested, Shaw said.

Norton Shores Police worked with the Fruitport Township and Muskegon police departments in the case.
