Speedway gas station robbed

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Speedway gas station, 1815 Baldwin St. in Georgetown Township, early today.

According to Sgt. Brian Buter of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, the clerk at the gas station was allegedly robbed at knife point at about 3:15 a.m. The robber, who has yet to be identified, took cash from the store and fled the scene to a getaway vehicle, police said.

According to Buter, the suspect is described as around 5 feet 4 inches tall; and wearing a black hooded jacket, a dark green skullcap, black pants and shoes, and a mask made popular by the “Scream” series of movies.
