The Kalamazoo Gazette reported 22-year-old Glenn Ross was arraigned by video Thursday before a Kalamazoo County District Court judge. He sobbed through much of the hearing and asked the court to appoint a lawyer for him.

Ross, who told the court he lives with his parents, was ordered held on $100,000 bond. He’s due back in court March 7.

Police said in a statement they got a 911 call midday Tuesday reporting the baby wasn’t breathing. The infant was taken to an area hospital, where he died Wednesday night.

Charges of felony murder and open murder were authorized Thursday.

I am sure the baby was crying when this evil, immature monster was shaking him. I hope this stupid man cries every day for the rest of his life. Jeez, I cannot believe people! Young mothers, protect your children from fathers who are not mature enough to handle the pressure of being a father. If he's ever shown anger toward you or ever made you scared, don't let him watch your child- no matter how badly you need a break because that break could be the end of your motherhood. So sad! Rest in peace little one, your Father in Heaven will treat you with kindness.
