The vandalism at Muskegon's Oakwood Cemetery was discovered earlier this week. Officials said they think the vandalism involved a group of people because of the large size and heavy weight of some headstones and monuments.

One of the monuments damaged was a large cross that was snapped in half.

A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the vandals.

Similar damage happened at the cemetery last month and in November 2011. Police said they are planning to step up patrols in the area.
