Around 6 a.m. Wednesday, a passing driver noticed a GMC Envoy on its side, leaning on a tree of the side of the interstate. Police responded and found a 27-year-old man deceased.
Investigators said it appears the man was driving east on I-96 and attempted to exit onto Hile Road when the vehicle went off the road and rolled into a ditch.
Police said it doesn't appear the driver was wearing a seatbelt. His name has not been released.
Police said they are looking into what caused the crash and hope the man's family can provide information to help determine when it happened.
