Police said Alec Sabourin of Muskegon was thrown from his sport utility vehicle when it crashed in Fruitport Township. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

The SUV rolled over in a ditch as Sabourin, 27, was attempting to exit the interstate at Hile Road sometime late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning, police said. His vehicle wasn't spotted until about 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers reportedly found a liquor bottle in the wreckage.

An autopsy is being performed today to determine toxicology and cause of death.
