Stolen car involved in 2-car crash

Police are looking for one of the drivers in a two-car crash that happened Thursday morning in Fruitport Township. Police said the driver left the scene on foot prior to officers arriving on the scene. He or she was driving a stolen car.

Fruitport Township Police Department said the crash happened at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Farr Road near Interstate 96. The driver of the other vehicle had minor injuries, police said, but did not require immediate medical treatment.

The owner of the car in which the driver fled the scene reported it had been stolen from the Cancun Connection in Muskegon Township.

Witnesses that may have observed the incident or anyone with information about the crash are encouraged to call the Fruitport Township Police Department at 231-865-8477 or Silent Observer at 231-72-CRIME.
