Police arrested Joseph John Hudson Jr., 26, on Wednesday at his Grand Rapids home. They said he is responsible for daytime home invasions in Ottawa County dating back to March.

Investigators also found several thousand dollars in merchandise at Hudson's home, which they believe was taken from many of the Ottawa County victims.

Hudson is being held in the Ottawa County Jail on a parole violation and is expected to appear in court by Friday on other charges.

According to state corrections records, Hudson's most previous conviction was in Kent County on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon. He was sentenced to prison in February 2010, and was released this year on Feb. 14. Hudson also has previous convictions for robbery and home invasion.
