Police arrest 3 teens for stealing from gun shop

Police have arrested three teen boys they said broke into J&R Guns on Getty Street in Muskegon.
Jul 16, 2012

The break-in was discovered Saturday morning when the shop's owner arrived to open the store for the day.

The boys, ages 16 and 17, are believed to have taken nine handguns. They got into the store through a smashed window, police said. Wires to a security camera just above the window were also cut. Other security cameras inside the store show one of the teens grabbing guns from a display case and ammunition from a shelf.

The boys were arrested early Sunday when a police officer spotted one of them standing outside the building while the other two were inside. Police suspected the group returned to steal more guns.

The boys are expected to be charged as adults today. Their names will be released following their arraignment.

good job police! get these thugs off the streets before they kill someone. Throw the book at these ghetto punks

Why would you leave the wires to your security cameras out in the open like that? Every security professional you talk to would tell you to conceal them so that they wouldn't be cut because that's the first thing that criminals look to do - cover their tracks! You can either do that or opt for some wireless security systems (you might be able to find some ) or get an attack dog of some sort to scare them away (actually works!)

This one really seems bad. Teen with these activities must be thought less with polite. Thanks to teh ip cctv camera that caught their action into recording.
