The Oceana County Sheriff's Department said 26-year-old Vikrant Kole of Woodbury, Minn., died Tuesday.
Authorities said Kole was swimming near Silver Lake State Park on Sunday evening when he disappeared under the water. A dive team pulled him from the water after about 35 minutes, and a helicopter flew him to Spectrum Health hospital in Grand Rapids.
The park is in Golden Township, about 35 miles north-northwest of Muskegon.
