A federal indictment filed last week in Grand Rapids charges Eric Walker, 33, with distribution, possession and transportation of child pornography, and sexual exploitation of a child.
Authorities allege that in February and March of 2009, and in March 2011, Walker used his computer to distribute images of child pornography. Authorities said in April, Walker twice persuaded a 15-year-old girl to send sexually explicit photos of herself to him via text message.
Walker is listed on Michigan's sex offender registry for an April 1997 conviction of attempted third-degree criminal sexual conduct in Bay City.
He is scheduled to appear in federal court Wednesday.
