Teenager suspected in Grand Rapids-area killing

Michael Haminger, 20, was shot to death Sunday in front of a home in Walker.

Walker Police Deputy Director Greg Long said all investigators know "is there was a conflict occurring, and the 14-year-old allegedly produced a handgun."

The teenage suspect was in juvenile court Monday for a hearing. He's being held on a homicide charge.

At Monday's court hearing, prosecutors asked for a five-day adjournment to allow them to review police reports and consider whether the teen should be charged as an adult.
