Bruce Wayne Andrulis, 55, of Holland suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Holland Hospital after the crash, said Sgt. Greg Rotman of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.

The crash occurred when Juan Ortiz, 25, of Holland was driving north on 136th Avenue and failed to stop for a red light at the Riley Street intersection, Rotman said. Ortiz’s 1996 Chevy Suburban struck Andrulis’ 2005 Nissan Titan.

The crash forced the Nissan off the road and into a pole.

Andrulis was pinned inside the vehicle and was extricated by Holland Township firefighters.
