Man run over by tractor still critical

James McClurken, 10710 Second Ave., remained in critical condition this morning at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, a hospital spokesperson said.

McClurken had parked his Farmall tractor next to a corncrib about 1 p.m. Wednesday, said Sgt. John Wolffis of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.

When he got off the tractor, it started to roll, so he tried to jump on it again, but got caught under the back wheel, Wolffis said.

The incident is still under investigation.
