Authorities said the truck driver told investigators he had been drinking alcohol before the crash.

Brittney Renee King, 24, of Bangor, was trapped in the car she was driving following Tuesday night's crash in Van Buren County's Geneva Township, police said.

King died in the crash along with two of her passengers: Kandice Berryhill, 2; and 4-year-old Cassadi Berryhill, 4, both of South Haven, the Van Buren County Sheriff's Department said. Another passenger in her car, identified as 24-year-old Justin Berryhill of Grand Junction, was hospitalized in stable condition after the crash.

The pickup also collided with another car before coming to a stop.
