The 66-year-old Twin Lake man's body was found Friday morning against a tree in Oceana County's Newfield Township.

Authorities had been searching for more than 12 hours for the man who is believed to have suffered some type of medical condition. He had been dragging a buck he shot and did not return Thursday night to the camp he shared with other hunters.

A 54-year-old deer hunter from Zeeland was also found dead Thursday. Richard DeBoer apparently was asphyxiated by fumes from a propane heater he was using to heat his van in Mason County.

Thursday was the first day of firearm deer hunting season in Michigan.

Draggin a dead carcass is a young mans game. At 66 a person is just too darned old! Just way toooo old! His grand kids if any will miss him.
