Suspect charged in Montcalm County murder

Police said the suspect knew the victim, 31-year-old Julie Lynn Danielson of Pierson Township.

A person of interest is in custody in connection with a homicide.

Deputies were originally called to the home because of a disturbance. When they arrived, thet discovered Danielson's body.

"She was very nice, waved hello, spoke nicely at Halloween and the times you had to see her — but she was more private," said neighbor Melissa Hopping. "It's not every day you think that you're going to wake up and have somebody killed across the street. It's a little too close to home for me."

Hopping said Danielson had twin boys. It's not clear if they were in the home when she died.
