Girl, 10, hit riding her bike

The girl was hit shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday on Riley Street near 160th Avenue in Park Township. Ottawa County deputies said the girl rode her bike out of a driveway and across the street, trying to get to a bike path, when she rode into the path of an eastbound minivan.

The child was first taken to Holland Hospital, then transported to the Grand Rapids hospital.

Police said the minivan driver was not injured.

Deputies are still investigating the accident.
