Dense fog contributed to the crash, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department.

Tyler Bachelor, 19, of Allendale was driving south on 76th Avenue when he failed to stop for the stop sign at Fillmore Street. His car broadsided a car driven by Juan Rodriguez, 33, police said.

The crash caused Rodriguez's car to roll and he was pinned inside it. Rodriguez was extricated by Allendale Township firefighters.

Both men were taken by ambulance to Spectrum Health Hospital in Grand Rapids and were listed in stable condition, police said.
