A man from Battle Creek contacted police in Perryville, Mo., to say his credit card had been used at a Perryville convenience store on Friday. Surveillance video led to suspects at a motel.
Police arrested two people from Alexandria, Va., and one from Cheverly, Md. All three are jailed on $50,000 bond.
The suspects allegedly used stolen personal information to create credit cards and gift cards. Authorities said they found a laptop computer connected to a stripe card reader, along with 135 credit cards and gift cards. They also found more than $1,000 worth of cigarettes, which police said were purchased using the fraudulent cards.
