Teacher faces charges in sex case

A West Michigan teacher has been arrested after authorities said she had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old boy.

The 32-year-old woman from Evart worked for the Mecosta-Osceola County Intermediate School District and taught at a school southeast of Reed City. Authorities said she was arrested Monday.

Her name wasn't immediately released, pending arraignment on felony charges of third-degree criminal sexual conduct. Police said the boy involved is a student.

I am never short of curiosity with regards to why the progressive left is so silent when teenagers are being sexually abused by teachers, yet the scandal involving priests plays such prominent role in their denigrating the Catholic Church. Yes, the church leadership was at fault, but does anyone believe teacher abuse of students isn't much more prevelant?
