Joseph Baxter, 62, was arraigned Thursday on operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

A state police lab report listed Baxter's blood-alcohol content at .08 — above the state's legal limit — after the Oct. 18 incident.

Baxter's attorney, David Glancy, entered a not-guilty plea in 79th District Court in Ludington. Glancy declined to comment on the case.

Baxter was released on a personal bond. A pretrial conference is scheduled for Jan. 21.
