Homeowners in the 900 block of Columbia St. reported they were missing a flat-screen television and a .357 revolver handgun at around 7 p.m. Police believe the suspects may have entered the home through an unlocked door.

Later in the evening, a home in the 200 block of East 35th St. was entered and three semiautomatic handguns were taken. Police said entry was forced through a rear, locked door.

Since the burglaries were in close proximity of each other and both involved the theft of handguns, they could be related, said Capt. Jack Dykstra of the Holland Department of Public Safety.
