A 23-year-old Kentwood man was taken by ambulance to North Ottawa Community Hospital following the 9:36 p.m. crash, said Sgt. Greg Rotman of the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department. He was in stable condition.
Christopher Hodge, 24, of Zeeland, was taken by ambulance to Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was in serious condition, police said.
The crash occurred when the Kentwood man, whom police declined to name, failed to stop at a stop sign at Lake Michigan Drive. He was traveling north on 120th at the time in his 2003 Audi.
His vehicle struck a 2001 Ford Focus, which Hodge was driving east on Lake Michigan Drive.
Police said alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The crash is still under investigation.

cant fix stupid...
That intersection is an accident waiting to happen most of the time. People coming from the east are always in such a hurry or are just totally ignorant as the "right turn lane" going to the north is strictly for making a right turn. Accidents have happened so many times. Near misses a lot of the times. Wouldn't it be nice if there were cops in the Yellow Jacket parking lot or at least at the Nursery across the street to monitor the illegal passings on the "right turn only lanes!" A very serious problem there and could be a "State or county money maker!" lol
Maybe there needs to be a flashing stop light there for the 120th ave drivers?
