A jury in Grand Rapids convicted Steven Deuman in September 2012 in the 2011 death of his daughter, Evelynne. The first-degree murder conviction carries a mandatory penalty of life without parole.
The girl died on the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indian Reservation, northwest of Traverse City. An autopsy found she was asphyxiated.
Federal authorities investigated the death because it occurred on tribal land. Deuman and the baby's mother lived on the reservation.
Natasha Maitland said she's burned all evidence that Deuman was ever in her life, and considers her ex-boyfriend a "coward and monster" for killing their baby.

$72,000 yearly inmate housing cost (x) 40yr life expectency in prison (=) $2.8 million dollars charged to tax payers to house this piece of garbage for the rest of his life....OR $1,200 for lethal injection drugs. Hmmm' Can you see the insanity of keeping alive child killers? I've gotta' believe I'm raising the eyebrows of even the most liberal rehabilitation supporters. HB Bill "fast track" Leathal Injections/child killers. (retroactive of course) Any objections here? Anyone?
I agree we need the death penalty back.
Maybe his lifer cell mates can give that baby justice, asphyxiate him while sexually assaulting him.
Unfortunately the cost of the death penalty exceeds life imprisonment by far:
"The authors calculated that, if the Governor commuted the sentences of those remaining on death row to life without parole, it would result in an immediate savings of $170 million per year, with a savings of $5 billion over the next 20 years."

We don't need to bring back the electric chair. We now need electric bleachers. This POS just needs to go away, along with lots of others. It's a shame we have to pay for he and his kind.
I hope Bubba gets him, or maybe Nasty Nate.
