The ruling was made after an autopsy was conducted on the victim on Monday at Spectrum Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids.

Brandon Kuiper died March 8, two days after he was shot in the face during a game of Russian roulette at a home in the 3900 block of Leonard Road.

The shooter and resident of the home, Richey Usher, 18, remains lodged in the Ottawa County Jail on a charge of manslaughter.

Usher was initially charged with attempted manslaughter when arrested on March 6. The charge was increased when Kuiper died.

The suspect is also charged with felony firearms.

He is being held on a $350,000 bond.

Too sad. More idiot kids unsupervised.
How do they come up with the 'Russian roulette' moniker? Someone else points a gun at your face and pulls the trigger it is called premeditated murder in most civilized countries. Russians must be offended by this perversion.
Everyone that was at that house at the time of the shooting IS RESPONSIBLE for this child's death, and that will hopefully haunt every one of you for the rest of your lives.

yeah...sounds racist to me.

I so agree big deal

There is no Perversion in calling this Russian Roulette. It's apart of world history. (Americans are so easily offended....it's a weakness our enemies are exploiting with alarming success.)

The exact origin of the game of Russian roulette is unknown. However, one legend states that Russian prisoners were forced to play as guards placed bets on the results. It has evolved into a lethal game of chance and that is exactly what these two idiots(I agree with you here) were doing. (except they're supposed to do it themselves.)

Now we have a totally sensless loss of life and a soon to be incarcerated other that the tax payers will now be burden. No one else is responsible for this death except the two fools that were playing this game. What you are witnessing is accountability....no need to blame anyone else.
