Police want to I.D. man in locker room theft

Police are seeking help identifying one “person of interest” in connection with the theft of electronics from a locker room during a boys district basketball game on March 8.

Cash and cell phones were among the items taken from lockers being used by the Grand Haven High School boys basketball team that night at Mona Shores High School during the Muskegon versus Grand Haven district basketball game.

Norton Shores Police were able to review surveillance video of the two males entering the locker room.

The men are described as African American, about 20 years old. One of them was wearing a black stocking cap with a white design on the front and a black jacket with the letter “P” on the front left side.

The other man was wearing a black baseball cap with what appears to be a Detroit Red Wings emblem on the front. He was also wearing a black jacket, police said.

One of the suspected men, a 20-year-old Muskegon resident, was arrested by police at 5 p.m. Wednesday. He’s in jail pending arraignment.
