Jeff Bertucci, 46, and his son, Camden, 16, have been released from the hospital, officials confirmed. Camden is a student at Grand Haven High School.

Sherri, 44, and Colin, 20, remain hospitalized.

The family was in Iowa visiting Colin, who is a student at Cornell College in Mount Vernon.

They were returning from a dinner outing Sunday night when they collided with another vehicle that had lost control on a snowy road between Mount Vernon and Solon, Iowa, in the eastern part of the state.

The driver of that vehicle was killed. One of the passengers in the Bertucci vehicle, Madison Hubert, 18, also a Cornell student, was also killed in the crash.

Colin, a graduate of Grand Haven High School, has the most serious injuries. He is recovering, said Mike Duroe, Colin’s wrestling coach at Cornell.

“They’re making progress every day,” he said. “It’s a long road when you have an accident like that.”
