The blaze broke out Friday evening at Holland Alloys.

Holland Township Fire Chief Jim Kohsel told The Holland Sentinel that authorities haven't yet determined what started the fire, but it isn't considered suspicious. He said cardboard, wood and plastic inside the building caused the fire to spread quickly.

The township got help from firefighters in Zeeland, Park Township and Port Sheldon Township in battling the blaze.

Kohsel said the fire caused about $1.5 million in damage to the building and about $1 million to its contents.
