A judge on Wednesday sentenced Stacy Ahlgren to 27 months in prison. Ahlgren also must pay back the money.

The longtime employee of the bank pleaded guilty last year in U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids.

The sentence was at the low end of federal guidelines. Defense lawyer Larry C. Willey had asked for a sentence below the guidelines.

In her plea agreement, Ahlgren admitted to embezzling the money in 2007 through 2011. She said she stole cash, cashier's checks and money orders from her teller drawer in an area she knew was not shown on security cameras.
