Witnesses said the man showed a black handgun and got away with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured in the robbery.

The suspect was wearing a black or dark scarf over his face, jeans, a Chicago Bulls hat and aviator-type sunglasses with gray rims. He was described as Hispanic, 5 foot 7 inches to 5 foot 10 inches tall with a medium build, and in his early 20s.

Witnesses said he ran north toward a mobile home park on Butternut Drive after the robbery. They said he got into a white SUV with another person driving.

Police delayed some West Ottawa Public Schools buses from unloading students while they searched the area Tuesday afternoon. Canine units were used to track the suspect, who remained at large Tuesday night.
