"We think it is a slightly better resolution, as it comes from the original video data rather than a copy," Norton Shores Police Chief Dan Shaw said.

The video was taken from a business on Old Grand Haven Road in Norton Shores on the night of April 26, when police said Heeringa was abducted from the gas station on Sternberg Road where she worked. They said a silver or gray Chrysler minivan may be involved in the abduction. Such a van is shown in the video still.

Meanwhile, WZZM-TV reported today that Shaw said a "person of interest" in the case has been cleared. The person had been interviewed by police during the past couple of days.

Also, police said Heeringa's parents have submitted DNA samples so investigators have her DNA on hand, if needed.
