Fruitport Township police attempted to make a traffic stop of the woman's 1999 Audi A6 in the Village of Fruitport, but the car fled, said Sgt. Greg Rotman of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.

Ottawa County deputies joined the pursuit in Spring Lake Township and followed the car to the area of 144th Avenue and State Road, where the woman lost control of the Audi at about 12:06 a.m. Rotman said the Audi went off the road and struck a power pole, three vehicles and a house.

The house was occupied, but none of the residents were injured.

The woman was taken to Hackley Hospital in Muskegon with minor injuries, Rotman said. Her name was not being released pending an investigation.

Again... the premise of my joke...

The Trib stated "allude".

I guess theoretically she was trying to 'allude' police... "It wasn't me! Just follow me at high speed and I will take you to the real offender... really..."

I am sure journalistic instinct wished to say that police wanted to make a "terrific" stop but the car "flied".

I'm sure there is actually an "arena" at 144th and State, even NASCAR lose control on an arena.

I'm just glad that one of the things hit by the errant vehicle was a house and not a "horse".... I hope?!

Congrats to Sgt Rottweiler's guys for doing a great job!

News reporting is so easy these days... you just have to learn to read between the lines and the full story will develop :-)

16 pictures and only one of the bear, and it is a terrible photo. This story, if you want to call it that, and the accompanying pictures, not sure why they are even there, is absolutely ridiculous.
