Grand Haven Township Fire/Rescue Lt. Shawn Schrader said the department received the call at about 5:55 a.m. to a fully involved fire on the 13000 block of Deep Water Point in the River Haven Village Mobile Home.

Fire departments from Robinson Township and the City of Grand Haven assisted and had the fire under control within 35 minutes.

Bobby Dillree, who lives next to the destroyed home, said six people lived in the home and they all made it out safely.

Dillree said he heard loud popping, saw flashing lights and noticed sparking by the electrical box.

“Then, it just went up,” the 17-year-old said.

Schrader said electricity had been turned off on the block as they determine the cause of the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Glad to hear that everyone made it out safely and that no others homes were involved. Thankful for our firefighters!
