Two-car crash on U.S. 31 injures motorists

(UPDATED: Thursday 4:30 p.m.) At least two people suffered injuries when a vehicle rolled onto its side after being hit from behind about 3:30 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 31.

The two-car crash happened south of the drawbridge near Coho Drive. 

One lane of U.S. 31 southbound remained open, and the northbound lane was not affected.

A 28-year-old Grand Haven woman and her 11-year-old son were taken by ambulance to North Ottawa Community Hospital following the crash.

Police said their injuries were non-life-threatening.
