Alcohol was believed to be a factor in the crash, said Sgt. Matt Wildfong of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.

An ambulance transported the man to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids where he was in stable condition on Sunday. Police did not release his name.

The man was traveling west in a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado when he lost control on a curve and left the road, Wildfong said. The truck hit a sign and then a ditch before rolling several times.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected.
