The Muskegon County prosecutor said he is ready to charge one of the men involved.

Derrick Golden, 33, is scheduled to be arraigned today on two felony gun charges. Because of his criminal history, if found guilty, he could go back to prison for the rest of his life.

The two other men are expected to be charged with participating in the fight that preceded gunfire on Monroe Avenue.

Alexis Brown, 27, was killed in the shooting. Bystander Carmesha Rogers, also 27, was hit in the head by a stray bullet and remains in critical condition at a Muskegon hospital.

Prove once again that gun control laws do not stop crooks from getting guns. Does anyone think our "leaders" in Washington will ever learn this?

"our leaders in Washington" only care about geting back in office and will go with what is the most popular trend. also have you notaced Grand Haven has a lot more Black's I think they are trying to get out of Muskegon. I hope GH don't turn into Holland, notice how Holland seems to keep most of the high crimes that go on all the time quite.
