The investigation has linked the suspect to other car larcenies within the area dating back to mid-April of this year.

The Sheriffs Office would like to remind everyone to remove their valuables, lock vehicles, and park in well-lit and highly visible areas to reduce the chances of being victimized.

Looks like social security doesn't pay enough. At 62 a person has no chance at finding a paying job. But the property tax bill sure keeps coming in. I'm seeing more and more elderly going to jail lately. They probably get better care in jails. Jails are probably better than nursing homes.

The sad reality "Z" is that you are correct on all counts. I pray never to be in a situation like this woman but the second reality is that if I was unemployed, hungry, cold, unsheltered, with no family assistance or close friends to rely on I would commit a crime and gladly go to jail. If you let me out I would quickly commit another crime to get back in. Our prisons are packed with people who could not make it in society, for whatever reason.
