Jamie Jackson, 17204 Laura St., pleaded no contest to a charge of operating while intoxicated (third offense) in Ottawa County Circuit Court on Monday. In exchange for the plea, a misdemeanor charge of driving with an invalid license was dismissed.

Jackson was driving east on Beach Street in Spring Lake Township just after 8 a.m. on May 7 when his vehicle drifted across the road and hit a westbound car. Both drivers were injured and taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

Police said Jackson had been driving erratically and had hit some mailboxes on Lake Street just before the crash.

a charge of operating while intoxicated (third offense) in Ottawa County , In exchange for the plea, a misdemeanor charge of driving with an invalid license was dismissed. ummm, something wrong with this story, seems driving with a suspended license and drunk driving charge would get you a year in jail, would be interesting what the judge says in September ?
