The U.S. Justice Department filed a lawsuit Monday against the owners and the manager of Alger Meadow Apartments, which are 16 multi-family buildings. The government claims the manager regularly made unwelcome sexual advances to female tenants or women who were interested in an apartment.

The lawsuit says the manager also entered apartments without permission or advance notice.

Justice Department official Jocelyn Samuels said tenants shouldn't be harassed by someone "who holds the key to the front door."

Linda Vander Vennen of Byron Center, listed as one of the owners, said she was unaware of the lawsuit and declined to comment.

lol, thats called trade and bater for services, nothing new

Trading a months' rent for a couple hours of good time? That's a pretty expensive good time. He'd been further ahead to just go find a hooker. Rent ain't cheap these days, even in the lower income areas.

Not really, he'd have to pay the hooker. He's clearly an Obama voter - here he's having a good time on the dime of someone else (the apartment owner) - kind of a two-fer.

yeah really, they said on TV that he was trading favors for rent, which would mean to most that he was paying their rent if they were putting out. That's expensive, a hooker is cheaper....well, least that's what I been told, I have no first hand experience with hookers.

And will you puleasssee keep your political B.S. and constant whining out of articles that aren't about politics? It's gotten real tiresome and predictible. If you need a whack upside yer head, I'd be happy to oblige.

OOOH - Scary!

Scary? I was offering genuine assistance in helping you loosen up whatever is stuck in there that's causing the verbal diarrhea and skewed outlook. If you don't want to avail yourself of my help, then carry on with your foolishness, I hear Barnum & Bailey are looking for a few good clowns.

If you insist on taking serious Federal sexual harassment charges into the political realm, here's my interpretation.

The manager looks a lot like Chucky - you know, the evil puppet gynecologist with medical gloves and the leering Uncle Sam mask, the ad put out by Koch Bros-sponsored Generation America to propagandize our young people against the ACA.

Chucky/Uncle Sam represents the creepy Tea Party that "pivoters" (excuse my French) the American public via government shut-down extortion, while promising benefits in return - they will quit acting like creepy Tea Partiers for a while. Like the said manager/creepy Chucky Tea partier, it apparently is the only possible way they know how to achieve the desired result.
