The 13-year-old Hamilton girl was reported missing last month. Authorities said they found her with Joseph Arpin at a convenience store in Crestwood, Mo.

Arpin was arraigned on a kidnapping charge in Allegan County District Court on Thursday. A message seeking comment was left Friday with lawyer Fred Hunter, who represents the San Jacinto, Calif., resident.

Arpin is being held on bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for next Thursday.

The girl's mother has said her daughter left their home late at night, climbing out a bedroom window to take off with Arpin.
