Authorities utilized state police resources from Muskegon County to Marquette County, including the Grand Haven detachment, to investigate the allegation.

On Tuesday, state police established an undercover operation in which the two women suspects were contacted by an undercover officer.

A meeting between the undercover officer and women to contract the murder of the 51-year-old Ravenna man took place Wednesday in the parking lot of a Norton Shores shopping center. During this meeting, police said the women hired the undercover officer for the hit. The manner of death and payment for the murder contract was discussed and agreed upon.

The two Ravenna women, ages 50 and 45, were then arrested and lodged at the Muskegon County Jail. They are awaiting arraignment on the charge of solicitation to commit murder.

Their names were not immediately released.

Come on ladies, again? Moral of the story, never trust a hitman.

Yeah, if you're going to "off" someone, it's always best to make it a "do it yourself" deal. :-O

Agreed. Too many hands in the pot always makes a mess. And honestly, who thinks to themselves.... Murder for hire? Norton Shores is the place. I know it. That girl who was plastered all over National news a few months ago met her hitman in Norton Shores and it worked out perfectly for her. Ill do EXACTLY what she did. Hey sis, wanna get in on this with me? My plan is flawless.
