A fire broke out early Tuesday in the boiler room of the Sara Lee plant in Olive Township, officials said.
Nov 19, 2013

The fire started at about midnight at the plant on 96th Avenue, just north of Polk Street. Officials said the plant's sprinkler system kept the flames in check until firefighters arrived to finish putting them out.

Crews were able to contain the fire by 12:30 a.m.

Hillshire Farms sausage products are made at the plant. Production never stopped during the incident.

"Production never stopped during the incident."

They just created a new line of smoked sausage. mmm

I knew there was a joke in there somewhere.

At the height of the fire they almost ran out of mustard.

If they're making sausage at a Sara Lee plant you got to wonder what other delicacies Sara is working on there.

Well, I'll be damned if that headline isn't an eyecatcher.

You sure head down that path quick! :)

Did you hear about the poor man who worked at a sausage factory?
He was trying to make ends meet.

That would be ends "meat".

There was meat involved?
