Bay City police said Tyresha Humphrey, 23, told them that Jermaine Perkins slapped and kicked her, punched her in the stomach, and cut her arm with a Black & Decker cordless drill on Dec. 15.

Perkins, 23, is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and domestic violence. He's free on bond awaiting a probable cause hearing next week.

Police said Humphrey was five months pregnant by a previous boyfriend. She said Perkins wanted her to miscarry.

Police said Perkins told them Humphrey attacked him with the drill, and he defended himself.

Sounds like they ran into a bit of trouble, but fortunately the local cops know the drill for handling things like this.
