An attorney for Michael Cristini said the deal with Warren was struck Friday, less than two weeks before trial. Michael Dezsi told The Associated Press that Cristini is ready to put the "nightmare" behind him.
A message seeking comment was left with the Warren mayor.
In 1991, Cristini and Jeffrey Moldowan were convicted of abducting a woman, raping her and dumping her on a street in Detroit.
But Moldowan's conviction was thrown out in 2002 by the state Supreme Court after bite-mark evidence was discredited. Cristini's conviction was subsequently thrown out by a trial judge.
Both men were put on trial again and acquitted.
