Fire breaks out at Fifth Third Ballpark

Several crews are responding to a fire at Fifth Third Ballpark.

The fire broke out at about 11 a.m. and quickly spread throughout the first base side of the stands.

WZZM-TV is reporting that the east side stand of the ballpark have caved in.

All ballpark employees have been evacuated to the Pepsi Stadium Club in the outfield.

Grand Rapids Fire Department has sent extra vehicles as well to help with Plainfield and other departments.

Lets hope the firefighters can cool off the White Caps' bullpen. You don't want to swing at the first pitch as they've been throwing fireballs out there today.
